I have no logical arguments why I'm so fascinated. There is an elegance and simplicity in it's core minimalism I'm attracted by.
My current development IDE is Borland Delphi Architect (C++/C#) with which I could achieve anything I want. But can't use it for development on Linux and Kylix doesn't work properly anymore. Alternatives are Objective-C (my favorite /w WindowMaker/GNUstep) , C#/Mono or C++ and now LISP.
But it it's along way to become a real LISP'ler, there is so much to learn and it's not easy to become used to work with GNU Emacs, LispWorks Personal Edition or Allegro CL 8.0 Free Express Edition.
I don't know if I'll ever produce anything usefull with LISP, but dealing with and learing LISP changes and influences already today my way of thinking, my way of development – to the better.
