My first Amazon Webservices EC2 + S3 experience
Posted by Michael on March 13, 2009
Yeah, I made it
Details follow …
Targets I want to achieve sometime
- replace my various webhosters with an AWS EC2/S3 based WebServer
- having a “playground” instance for development (LISP … and other) not only usable by myself (maybe)
- a windows based server for customer services
Dreamin’ of a service for iPod/iPhone …
Edit : Sometimes I’m an idiot … but finally managed to run an Windows Server /w WebDAV for file transfer and running the ADS database server.

Last night Apple seeded the new build to developers via ADC. (New server build was seeded too)
Another 10 fixes and resolved issues. Still Safari 4 beta doesn’t install on this build.
Still quite few focus areas.

but not with any Remote Desktop Application, neither on Windows Vista nor on OS X Leopard.

My iPod Touch (1G) jailbreaked with QuickPwn using Cydia
Posted by Michael on March 3, 2009
I didn’t use it much for about 6 months. But now bought the update via iTunes and gave QuickPwn a try. Perfect !
Then I stopped at the AppStore in iTunes. Overwhelming … got lost. It’s a pity that there is no real database,
or tags or … whatever could be helpfull to find apps which could be usefull for my purposes.
At least it works perfect, it’s a lot of fun playing with, using it as big USB stick replacement or a Password Safe or whatever.
And I’ll buy the videos from The Pragmatic Programmers for the first steps towards my first iPhone / iPod Touch application.
Just hope that i get the time for …
